LPC Kitchen IS BRINGING
DOWNTOWN DATE NIGHT UPTOWn.

LPC Kitchen, like its founder Peter Lombardi, was born and raised in New Jersey.

After graduating with a culinary and restaurant management degree, Peter set off to his family’s roots in Italy to celebrate. He soon discovered that the pizza being made in Naples tasted better than anything he had experienced back home. It was there that a great respect and love for Italian cuisine began. With the dream of bringing these flavors back to the States, Peter began his training with master pizza chef Enzo Coccia to learn the art of perfect Neapolitan pizza... and soon after his return, he started putting his training to good use.

Lombardi Pizza Company was born in 2011 when Peter realized that putting an authentic wood-fired oven on wheels meant that he could serve authentic Neapolitan-style pizza all across New Jersey. After two years and hundreds of events, it was time to expand, and “LPC” soon found solid ground in Martinsville, NJ. The restaurant’s opening in 2013 led Peter to meet his wife Pauline, and together they built LPC to gain a loyal following of pizza evangelists and regulars, and their menu has grown to include more Italian dishes outside of pizza including homemade pasta.

Ten years after the birth of his namesake restaurant, the perfect front and back of the house duo visited Charleston. What they found was a culture enamored with incredible food. The warmth of South Carolina and its residents left an indelible mark, and they developed a plan for yet another expansion. LPC’s move from North to South will introduce a new pizza “DNA”: merging Neapolitan and New York-style pizza while assuring the dough and quality ingredients remain the star of the show. Another passion behind LPC Kitchen will be rustic sandwiches, homemade pasta, and ice cream along for the ride.

The Lombardi’s are excited to share their love of simple, elevated Italian food with Charleston’s metropolitan area.
